“Mathematics is the art of logical thinking.”

To ignite curiosity and strengthen logical thinking among students, an Inter-House Maths Quiz was successfully conducted on 20 December for students of Classes VI to IX. The event served as a prelude to the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, observed on 22 December as National Mathematics Day. Each house formed a dynamic team with participants from every class, showcasing unity and teamwork.

The quiz featured intellectually stimulating rounds such as Mental Maths, Logical Reasoning, Number Concepts, and a fast-paced Rapid-Fire Round. Adding to the excitement, an Intra-Class Interactive Maths Activity was also organized for Classes VI to IX, encouraging active participation and peer engagement.

The questions were challenging yet enjoyable, prompting enthusiastic responses. Students impressed the judges with their quick calculations, analytical thinking, and presence of mind. The well-structured event, organized by the Mathematics Department (Ramanujan Club), not only tested students’ mathematical aptitude but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition, serving as a meaningful tribute to Ramanujan’s legacy.
